We started this journey back in August 2022. Our hotel was named nerea after the sea deity of ancient Greece, Nereus, predecessor of god Poseidon. His name derived from Greek νηρός (nerós) meaning "water". In Greek mythology this was the name of a god of the sea, the father of the Nereids. Nerea is a brand new adults-friendly hideaway, infused with the honesty of natural materials and the traditional construction techniques found in Cretan Architecture, elegantly rooted in its seaside context. The spaces are enhanced with organic textures and crafted objects. The design result is an atmospheric experience that celebrates beach culture.
